in display. Net $7 each box, $63 each display of 9 sections (make 3 complete ships). Sold by the display case only. No.71070
Takes 3 sections(3 individual boxes) to make 1 complete ship, each
display box has 9 interchangeable boxes or sections to make 3 light cruisers.
There were 4 sister ships in the Agano class light cruisers, Agano, Sakawa, Noshiro (sunk 1944 off
the Philippines a day after Battle of Samar) and the Yahagi (sunk in Operation "Ten-Go" on April 7, 1945.) After the giant battleship Yamato came under attack by American planes in the northern Pacific Ocean near Okinawa, commander Seiichi Ito commanded the Yahagi to cover the Yamato. The Yahagi was
sunk after a 105-minute battle hit by 8 torpedoes and 20 bombs dropped from American aircrafts. After the Yahagi sank, American planes bombed
the Yamato and sank the giant battleship.
